After two years of marriage, rapper Jeezy files for divorce from TV anchor Jeannie Mai.

After two years of marriage, Jeezy—real name Jay Wayne Jenkins—filed for divorce from Mai in a courthouse in Atlanta on Thursday.

The rapper allegedly stated in the document that "there is no hope for reconciliation" and that "the marriage is irretrievably broken."

After meeting on Mai's chat program "The Real" in 2018, the couple started dating. 2019's "The Real" episode featured Mai discussing her relationship with Jeezy.

They exchanged vows in March 2021. They made the announcement of their first child together six months later.

In January 2022, Mai and Jeezy welcomed their daughter Monaco Mai-Jenkins.

Jeezy expressed his "desire" for their daughter to have "joint legal custody" both temporarily and indefinitely.

Rapper Jeezy and television host Jeannie Mai are divorcing.
